Descripción

Thundercats (2011) contará las nuevas aventuras de los personajes que ya conocemos: León-O, Panthro, Tigro, Chitara, Felina y Felino. De acuerdo con las productoras, los nuevos Thundercats atraerán a los fanáticos del clásico, así como a las nuevas generaciones que saben poco o nada sobre la original. Este reboot narra el ascenso del Príncipe León-O al trono y de aquellos que quieren obstaculizar su destino.

Las fuerzas del bien y del mal se enfrentan en la búsqueda de las Piedras de Poder; mientras tanto León-O y sus campeones aprenden lecciones de lealtad, honor y mortalidad. Espadas, ciencias y feroces batallas se darán lugar en una nueva versión que adquiere dimensiones épicas. Este reboot es bastante radical pues Thundera ya no es un planeta sino un reino en medio de una guerra con sus vecinos, en un planeta en el cual Mumm-Ra es una amenaza constante.

Vemos a un joven Lion-O lanzado a una responsabilidad que no se siente capaz de asumir y a los compañeros que lo acompañarán en su misión. Si bien es cierto Cheetara está aun lejos de su voluptuosa encarnación original, ahora que ya la podemos ver en acción la cosa pinta mejor de lo que se pensaba, y lo mismo va para Tigro a quien de momento parece que la adaptación ha tratado mejor que a los demás.
